JAPAN DOMESTIC SHIPPING

Within Japan, we use Yamato Express as our exclusive shipping partner due to their high reliability and good cost performance. With the exception of Okinawa and Hokkaido, packages are usually delivered within one day. 


 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

1 Shipping Methods

1.1 Regular Airmail (up to 1kg)

This shipping method is fast and cheap but does not allow to track or insure the parcel. Our responsibility ends when we successfully hand-over your parcel to Japan Post. The risk of loss is with the buyer.

1.2 Registered Airmail (up to 2kg)

We also offer airmail with tracking and insurance coverage up to ¥6,000. It takes about 10 to 15 days to arrive at its destination. Please be aware that certain countries have limitations with regards to the use of PO boxes as a signature is required upon delivery (e.g. Packstation in Germany). 

1.3 Express Mail Service - EMS (up to 30kg)

Express Mail Service is a very reliable and fast service of Japan Post that requires about 3-5 days until delivery in Europe and North America. You can track the progress of delivery and we insure parcels up to an amount of 2 million Japanese Yen.  

 

2 Shipping & Delivery Process

Each order is usually shipped within 24 to 48 hours after payment confirmation including week-ends and public holidays. We immediately contact you in case we can foresee a delay. As soon as your parcel is picked up by the shipping company, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation e-mail. In order to avoid damages, our dispatching team takes the greatest care to protect the products. We have sufficient experience to also protect delicate goods such as bottles or ceramics.

 

3 Shipping Issues

3.1 Delay:

Please be aware that delays in shipping and customs may occur. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for this type of delay. Please track the status of your delivery and contact you local post office and ask if a parcel is waiting for you in case of delay. From our side we can initiate a search request, which often speeds up local delivery.

3.2 Damage

If you have a product that was damaged during delivery, please e-mail us within 3 days after receiving it and include pictures of your damaged item.

3.3 Mistakes

If you believe there has been a mistake with your order, we will do all we can to remedy the problem. Contact us and we will take care of it.

3.4 Returns

If your parcel is returned to us we will contact you. In case the reason for the return is on your side (wrong address, parcel not being picked up) we will refund the product value without shipping costs or re-ship it at your own expense. If the reason is on our side we will re-ship the parcel by Express Mail Service with our own costs. Please fill out the return application if you wish to return a product within our 30 day return policy.
