Gold Craft Wooden Plate SHIMA SHIMA Square, Walnut

These unique wooden plates are crafted by combining 5~7 thin sheets of 0.5 to 1.5 mm thin sheet of wood. The designer, Makoto Komatsu, who has a permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA), managed to create beautiful, light, sturdy and durable collection. 

Molded and solidified at around 200 ° C, the plates are completely sterilized, and as they are made by stacking thin plates, rather than shaving the wood, they do not waste any ground material and are very eco friendly. The beautiful, unique wavy designs are finished with a ceramic paint coat, making them resistant to dirt and scratches and very easy to clean.
