The production of Mino paper in Gifu prefectures dates back 1300 years. In 2015 the production of Mino paper also become UNESCO World Heritage.
The characteristic of the paper is being thin and smooth. It is a pleasure to write on such a paper. Each sheet of paper has a watermark with patterns designed by Hiroko Takahashi. The patterns have been inspired by Japanese mizuhiki.
