Ishikawa Lacquer Sake Cup

This Ishikawa lacquer Sake cup is a typical product of Odawara lacquer. It is made from a block of raw wood by using a technique called "turnery", whereby the craftsman digs in a circular way, which creates beautifully defined lines in the wood. He finally applies a layer of lacquer to protect the wood and give it a beautiful glossy shine. 
It is a fully hand-made product that is unique in color and lines. It is a very good present to offer to authentic Japan- and Sake lovers.
