Kiuchi Umeshu is made by the Kiuchi Brewery in Ibaraki prefecture. Originally this brewery is famous for its line up of different beers, such as the HITACHINO NEST WHITE BEER. This white beer is distilled to make a beer spirit, which is then used for making the Kiuchi Umeshu.
Kiuchi Umeshu also received international awards such as the Monde Award in 2009.
