Founded in Tokyo in 1899, Hirota Glass has established itself as one of the pioneers of Japanese Glassware. They have created their own signature style combining Japanese traditional craftsmanship with European designs. Each of the Edokiriko sets contains a glad and matching lid. The patterns in the glass are cut and aligned in a way that they can be enjoyed from any angle. The series consists of seven different glasses. The cups can be used as drinking cups, as well as extraordinarily beautiful candle holders that will reflect the light through the detailed patterns!

Edo Kiriko is a traditional colored glass craft of Tokyo developed during the Edo period. First a glassblower blows clear glass into a paper-thin shape of colored glass and then rotates it to make the overall form. The result is a two-layer structure with colored glass on the outside and clear glass on the inside.
Rienzome is the brand name of traditional cloth maker TODAYA, established in 1872, currently run by the 6th generation. ‘Rien’ means the people of Kabuki and traditional dancing, and the brand name therefore refers to this world as they have always loved and cherished the art of tenugui.
Rienzome uses 100% cotton and hand-dyes all their tenugui and yukata’s (summer kimono) according to traditional chusen dyeing method.
