This very unique sake set  consists of 2 large sake cups and one sake container made of tin that are shaped like bamboo. Each item has carefully been decorated with a hammered pattern by skilled craftsman Kenji Mizumaki. Tin is famous for its mellowing effect on sake making sake an even more pleasant experience. It makes an unforgettable, long lasting gift!
*Similar Bamboo sake cups, with a smooth finish, are also available individual.

The set is made of Tin, the most expensive metal after gold and silver, which is extremely malleable. Although its appearance strongly resembles silver, it is not affected by air and does not easily rust. It is also antibacterial, absorbs impurities, hardly causes allergic reactions and even purifies water, making it the perfect material for NOUSAKU's renowned table- and kitchenware. Leaving tin ware in the refrigerator for 2-3 minutes will allow it to keep whatever you serve in it fresh and chilled. It has been believed that water in a tin container does not spoil, and tin removes excessive bitterness from sake and produces better taste.

  • NOUSAKU began metal casting in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture in 1916. During their early years, they created Buddhist altar fittings, tea ceremony accessories, and flower vases, later adding tableware, home accessories, lampshades, and other decorative items to their lineup. The fine appearance of their wind-bells, tableware, etc. is due to their heritage of advanced casting and refined finishing techniques handed down over a 400-year period. With the aid of modern machinery, industrial technology and the cultivated wisdom of past masters, NOUSAKU achieves outstanding harmony in its use of innovative design and top quality materials, and offers excellent value for money.
