◆ As the sakura is pickled, the salt may crystallize, which looks white. Please note there is no problem with the product and it can be used safely.

Ingredients:
Koshi anko: Sugar, red beans, starch syrup, rice flour, agar
Coarse rice powder: glutinous rice
Cherry leaves: Sakura leaves, salt, alum/myouban
Preparation;
1. Mix 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
2. Microwave 2 minutes at 600w
3. Add the coarse rice powder and mix thoroughly.
4. Microwave 3 minutes at 600w, mix again and microwave another 3 minutes.
5. Cover with a damp towel for 5 minutes.
6. Roll 10 balls with the anko bean paste
7. Take the mochi from step 5. and fold the anko balls in them: either by hand or by using a plastic wrap (easier as the balls are sticky).
8. Rinse the Sakura leaves to remove additional salt and dab them try with paper towel.
9. Wrap the mochi in the sakura leaves and enjoy!
Optional: add strawberry inside the mochi, or top them with dried sakura petals!
