From the series "Wonmb of the Myth", in which Mr. Ogino has taken a picture of a movie studio in Uzumasa, Kyoto for several years, one of the indoor shots is represented by a collotype print. It is a limited edition of 20 copies that can be bought only here, with Mr. Ogino's autograph. It has a gold frame with a vintage texture.

Collotype is an interesting fusion between French and Japanese discoveries. The printing process was discovered in France, about 150 years ago. It was a new style of printing that combines photography and printmaking and the results are one-of-a-kind. BENRIDO was established in 1887 in Kyoto, where they have been specializing in Collotype printing since 1905. With over a century of experience in the craft, they are one of the very few Collotype studios left, and the world’s only one that produces full-color photographic Collotype prints. They have won several awards and recognitions and have been responsible for many big art works and projects in Japan and abroad.

NAOyuki Ogino (Naoyuki Ogino)
Born in Tokyo in 1975. Raised in Mexico from childhood to middle school graduation. After graduating from the Department of Science, Faculty of Science, National Nagoya University, started working for a major advertising company. Since 2006, he has been devoting himself to photographer activities and moving to Kyoto in 2009. Under the themes of "Life in the Mongoloid Cultural Area", "Sister's Power" and "Hazama", he is active as a university lecturer while holding photo exhibitions in Japan and overseas. Representative works include "komomo" and "UZMASA Exhibition Catalog".
