Umeboshi are traditional Japanese sour plums, still popular today due to their wide range of health benefits. They are mostly eaten by itself as a snack, on top of rice or inside rice balls.

Umeboshi are known to battle or even cure fatigue, alcohol poisoning/hangovers, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, Infections and more. Their unique flavor easily gives your meal an authentic Japanese touch. 

These Hanaume are classic salty and sour umeboshi, but easy to eat due to their small size, and can therefore also be eaten as a snack by themselves. After the first salty and sour sensation they have the typical beautiful aftertaste of ripe ume plums.
