"KORAI ZARA plate" made with the motif of Goryeo Korean porcelain confectionery bowl.
Lacquer cloth is applied to natural wood on the parts of the piece that are easily damaged, such as edges, base footings. Then, diatomaceous earth collected from Mt. Komine in Wajima City
that has been fired and made into a powder called Wajima jinoko is applied as a base coat, then it is polished, given a mid-coat, then a top coat. The ability of artisans to do delicate "shading off paint" expressing modern sensitivity is established using traditional gradation painting technique. The plate has beautiful coating and an elegant atmosphere which is breathtaking. It can be used not only on a daily basis but also on formal occasions. As you use the real lacquerware which is made of natural wood and natural urushi, the color of the bowls will become bright and gain luster. The soft color complements foods such as salads and stewed meals.
