Masuya Hinoki Masu Style Frame

This design is inspired by the traditional Japanese masu sake cups. The third generation president of Masu specialist Masuya (1950) is aiming to keep his family's art style alive by finding new uses for this authentic Japanese craft. The soft touch and unique scent of the hinoky cypress trees is said to be relaxing and is therefore often used in Japanese kitchens and bath places. The trees are used for construction in Japan and masu cups are created from the left over materials - no wood is cut for masu products alone! 

These elegant, simple frames allow you to customize and use them in a wide range of settings: as a photo frame, a flower presentation vase, an crafting project or just a simple decoration with a beautiful natural and Japanese inspired scent.
