This Tsuge Kushi Maintenance Brush is made to clean the comb and brushes and apply the Camellia Oil on them. It is a very important object to insure the longevity of your Tsuge combs and brushes.

With moderate hardness and flexibility, it penetrates firmly into the gaps between the teeth of the brush. It is made from two types of materials: horse hair and plant-derived Tampico.

Cleaning instructions (with camellia oil and maintenance brush):

- Prepare the maintenance brush or a scrubbing brush that goes deep into the teeth of the brush, and camellia oil.
- Apply camellia oil directly to the brush and use the maintenance brush to apply it all the way to the back. Then wait 20 to 30 minutes.
- Brush any upcoming dirt off with a cloth or tissue.
- After leaving it for 3 to 4 hours, the camellia oil will soak into the brush and make it shiny.

Boxwood combs are a natural product and the woods beauty increases by using the comb over time. We recommend to maintain your comb about every three months with camellia oil, so that you can use the comb for many years.

How to maintain your boxwood comb

You need camellia oil and a toothbrush to maintain your comb.

Pour some oil on the comb and slightly rub it with the brush. Put is aside for 20 to 30 minutes.

The dirt now can be removed by scrubbing the comb. Put emphasis on the roots where most dirt accumulates.

Wipe the comb with a soft tissue or cloth to remove remaining dirt. Then soak it in camellia oil for 3 to 4 hours to give it new gloss.
