Umeboshi are traditional Japanese sour plums, still popular today to their wide range of health benefits.

This unique combination of garlic and ume creates the perfect savory snack to accompany sake and beer. The cloves are also very tasty when eaten with rice, or can be mixed into a paste to flavor salads and sauces. Katsuo (bonito) is added for extra umami, which gives them an even deeper flavor and a purely Japanese accent.
