Enjoy the flavor of authentic cherry blossoms, all year around and wherever you are. 
Our Sakura cherry blossoms are preserved in salt and ume plum vinegar after harvesting, so they retain their natural pink color and last for a long time. We carefully handle each individual flower so that they keep their shape and beautiful petals. The flowers are edible and have a strong, natural pink color that looks beautiful as decoration on your pastries! 

Traditionally, pickled sakura is used to make Sakura tea during celebration, such as wedings. Now, Sakura has found its way into many more Japanese and Western recipes; from Sakura onigiri to Sakura cookies, ice cream, cocktails and cake! 

Our pickled Sakura can be used for decoration, but as they also retain the flavor and scent of real sakura, they will also help flavor your dish or dessert! Before packaging we inspect every single flower and remove any imperfections, so that you are able to use each and every flower in the pack!

* To easily remove most of the salt, soak the blossoms in a large bowl of water for up to one hour and let them dry on a clean towel afterwards.   • Cherry blossoms are pickled after harvesting to preserve them so they can be used outside of the Sakura season, which is rather short and unpredictable. Our fresh cherry blossoms are soaked in Ume plum vinegar to preserve the pink color and then pickled in salt. This method has been developed over many generations, and allows you to enjoy authentic sakura flavor and decorations wherever and whenever! 

    Pickled cherry blossoms are originally used to make sakura tea, which is used on special occasions, such as weddings. When cooked together with rice, they do not only create a beautiful colorful contrast, but the rice also absorbs the flowery aromas of the cherry blossoms. Nowadays, pickled sakura also made its way into the world of pastries; There is a growing number of Japanese and Western recipes with sakura.
